The Day I Made Litti Chokha in June 2024
Once upon a time, probably a year back; we happened to discuss litti chokha at home. Since that day, my youngest sister has been after me to make them at home. I shall also mention here I too wanted to make them badly. So we proceed to the year 2024! The year begins with my father's barsi in January i.e. it was one year to my father's death according to the Hindu Calendar. With my mother already undergoing hospital visits since November 2023; we were taken aback by her diagnosis of breast cancer in March 2024. She is currently taking chemotherapy. It took us time to come to terms with our situation. Food helps. It helps to live, have energy and many times cooking helps me to relax. So continuing with our litti chokha discussions, I finally found a recipe on internet and since we do not cook onion and garlic at home, I gave a satvik turn. I made notes! Proper notes!
